They were going on and on about how weak the ACC always is and mighty the SEC is, blah, blah, blah.

Then asked, "So, are you saying that a top SEC team. this year, would rag doll a decent ACC team?" And, the leader (nice guy, but delusional) said, "Yeah, of course." Then, I followed up with, "Well, the #1 seed in the SECCHGM, this season, got rag dolled by a bottom feeder ACC team. Did you know that?" He was like, "What????" Then, the FSU game started to dawn on him.

Then, the group got quiet and started asking me who Miami lost to, etc., but they claimed it was all about what happens on the field, but their current, number one SEC team didn't just get beaten in triple over time or something like that...they got manhandled by an ACC bottom feeder.

Then, they were like, "Yeah, well, that's not the same BAMA team that they are now." And, I said, "And, it's not the same Miami team that had 2 hiccups." Then, they said Texas should get in over Miami, and I said, "You mean 3 loss Texas?" And they shot back, "Look who they had to play!!" And, I said, "We have one common opponent. That opponent beat them fairly convincingly and we rag dolled that team that beat Texas."

Then, some of them started remembering that yeah, we actually beat ND head to head. As I was leaving the room, at least one of them conceded that Miami was decent and deserved to get in the CFP.

And, of course, none of this would even be a thing if several things had not happened, but here we are, sitting on top of what Nick Saban says is the most dangerous team out there and just hoping that we'll get in. Oh, and I asked them if they respected Saban and they all agreed (this is at the end) and then I told them what he said.

Now, if only I had the CFP members in that room...

SEC Championship Game...

Alabama (lost 31-17 to an FSU team that went 5-7 overall and 2-6 in the ACC)
vs.
Georgia (held onto a 16-9 victory over a GaTech team that had a chance to tie on the last play of the game)

And had GaTech pulled off the comeback to win the game, the ACC would have a winning record over the SEC in head-to-head games for 2025.

Can only chuckle with the SEC crowd. The same folks likely to get 5 teams into the playoffs are *****ing & threatening to schedule non-conference only against the likes of Eastern Kentucky & Slippery Rock.
