Just gonna set this here...

For those who don't think Richt sees the forest for the trees they are.....

We 1st see him swallowing humble pie regarding Lingard, now these comments.....like Malik keep playing like he's been....just a matter of time.

Staff has had three years to get his mechanics right. Is there something else Little Richt is working on as QB Corch?

So they've now "kind of figured out" that when he misses he's off balance. I guess they were too busy pumping sunshine up our asses about his "improvement" this summer to figure out what makes him awful in the first place.

I'm starting to think all the hype is playing a role in him still being the starter. The coaches don't want to take that huge "L" & might play Malik until he inevitably shìts the bed again. I'm starting to wonder if even then they'll stick with him & "let him play his way out of it" regardless of what he does on the field.

Every time I hear Richt defending 12 I lose a little more faith in whether he has what it takes to bring us #6.

The more games Rosier continues to start, the bigger indictment it is of the staff that has had 3 recruiting classes to bring in QBs and still think Malik Rosier gives the team the best chance to win. He's not getting better, he's not fixing anything. He sucks. He couldn't complete 65% of his passes if the DBs were my 5yo and 2yo daughters.

In that quote Rosier literally says that the coach is telling him what to do, but Rosier just isn’t doing it. Rosier isn’t putting in extra work on his mechanics. Or isn’t getting it.

^This.

Let's face it, anyone who has been around for any length of time knows that this is just something to throw out there on a slow news day and nothing more. Anytime you're talking about a 5th year senior's mechanics all you're doing is making noise. It doesn't matter what the coaches say or do, it's not gonna change anything. The light bulb is not gonna suddenly come on. He's not gonna suddenly start getting the details right.

“One thing we’ve kind of figured out is sometimes when I miss I’m just a little off balance,” Rosier said. “That’s the biggest thing. … the really good ball I had, the one across to Jeff (Thomas), [Jon Richt] was like `Look at your balance, how your feet are set, how your body is positioned to throw.’

“Coach said it’s up to me to fix myself and if I work on it my percentage will go up.”

Is there an accuracy percentage target in games?

“The goal is 65 percent or better,” Rosier said.

The kid is screaming to hold on to his job. Trying to justify his existence and position with one lucky throw. Rosier knows the inevitable is going to happen. Your luck is about to run out kid. Richt has been more than fair to allow this ****show to go on. We are way past fix ur fugging balance. Next man up. #ABR

What happened to the Richt that said to Malik "You'll never play for me." Someone find that guy. Long overdue.

Speaking of Bubble screens, Can we get a decent block out there at some point..... JFC

He couldn't get to 65% if he threw bubble screens to receivers in practice with no defense.

So now he's going to fix his balance issues now?

Perry needs to step it up. It's his fault. Richt will always go with experience if both qbs are equal.

Something tells me he knows no one wants him at QB but the coaches keep putting him in there and also knows his backups are way better than him. Maybe that's why he has regressed so much to the point he doesn't care anymore. Just going through the motions.

Richt has to know that Rosier is gonna get guys like Jeff Thomas hurt somewhere in the season with the fugging ball placement he continues to show. Prevention is the best medication. Bye bye Rosey.

I'm no QB guru, but isn't it the job of the QBC to improve the QB's mechanics and not just leave it up to the player to fix it himself or figure it out on his own?

Why do ppl on this board think that a qb coaches job is to do miracle **** with a qb??

Every school has a qb coach very few have elite QBs... based on CIS logic every qb coach would be spitting out the next Tom Brady left and right.

Apparently Jon Richt told Malik that he needs to make his mechanics better himself. Jon needs his 8 hours a day catching those waves, man.

It's not so much about failing to develop Rosier. It is a failure to develop the other guys enough to be better than Rosier by now.

You idiots have a fūcking problem reading. They’ve done to the mechanics drills, they’ve done as much practicing as they can do, they told him what it is he needs to do, his habits are either so bad that he can’t implement it on every play, or he keeps regressing.

You can only do so much with the person, show them, drill them. There are only 24 hours in one day, and only so many hours of practice that you are allowed to have someone, per the NCAA . And seven days in one week.

And that’s what they’re saying. That’s what Rosier is saying.

That he knows what he's supposed to do I - he’s been drilled on what he is supposed to do, but he is the one that has to do it. The QB coach, or any coach, cannot do it for him. He has to make the throws. Makes a ton of sense.

Now whether he does it or not at this point is not likely. But at this point it’s up to him to implement.

You people want to continue with your idiototic agendas and you don’t know how to read

I think Baby Richt meant it's up to Rosier to implement everything he's been taught?
Aaron Murray(5th round), Matthew Stafford(1st round), David Greene(3rd round), & D.J. Shockley(7th round). They were all drafted playing for CMR, and do you really think that either coach is going to leave it to Rosier to figure it out on his own?
