None of those 2022 or 2023 kids should be allowed to commit. Assuming they are following the new commitment rules implemented by our staff, I think you've got to take the 2021 kids at this point. But, with our recent history, a person would have to be totally naive to expect them all to stick.

I think according to Ivins, they dont mind getting an early commit from ATH Ta'Varish Dawson. His measurables say 5'10 160lbs runs a 10.71 in the 100 meter and is being recruited as a CB. IMO he should be a slot Wr since UM already has Burns committed and he is pretty small as well.

Any details on the event? Normally these tie to a UM basketball game but we are awful so might be smart to stay away. Per usual, a massive list but doesn't mean much.

We start winning games - especially those we SHOULD win - the decommits will decrease.

Kids can commit with expectations - but when you only win six games - that's not an indicator of a good program to be part of.

This commitment thing is crazy, because it seems like every year Miami gets all these commitments early and as the year goes on, these kid's start changing their minds.. SO IDK how the staff can change it.. MAYBE only take commitments from the stud guys at the point, don't accept a commit from a kid that is on the rise, IDK...

Maybe too, get the parents more involved when a kid is ready to commit, sit them down and let them know the standard for being a UM commit.. OR just tell the kid to take his time early on and visit other schools, then later in the process make a decision.. I GUESS

I definitely agree with not accepting commitments from 2022 & 2023 kids at all. I wouldn't say no to a 2021 kid unless you have some type of evidence he may not be sincere or has anti UM handlers in his picture you're aware of. Most of our elite targets are gonna be in wait and see mode till the season starts anyways so we gotta play the long game this cycle and hope the new offense is for real.
