Jumbo goal line vs SMU

No one is talking about this. Has it been mentioned anywhere as it worked?

There is the answer. Solves lots of problems.

Successful play, so dont run it again all year. Back in stash, just like Toney in backfield for mismatch.. If we only run it once and it works, dont run it again.. Nice right!
 
We can do a lot out of our formations, we just don’t do it enough, run off tackle, pitch, PA, reverse, direct snaps, I can name a lot more Shii.
 
We had plenty of plays that would have worked just fine if we:

a. don't commit a stupid penalty during the play
b. don't flip a pass in the air for an interception
c. don't drop a pass in the end zone
d. don't throw it too late
e. don't miss a wide open receiver

But yeah, we're not scoring because we run too much.

Both are true. Truth normally lies somewhere in the middle.

Add another wrinkle and spread them out in short yardage situations. Create gaps for the backs.

Cam consistently ran around in the backfield for 4 to 6 secs...all the while threatening to takeoff himself.

No secondary can keep the lid on recievers that long, especially with Cam's explosive range.

Dawson just lucked out... that he wasn't exposed.

I didn't say anything about Cam. I'm talking about the game on Saturday. Guys were open. Guys were in a position to make plays. They either dropped the passes or our QB didn't see them to get them the ball in time.

I agree they played terrible... add in the refs, it made it more frustrating.

At this point, Beck is playing like he's spooked. Doesn't want to look down field after his 4 interception game. The recievers pick up the tension of not wanting to make a mistake... that often has the opposite effect on young players.
