Went to Rivals JUCO Recruiting site and noticed that The U is not involved in recruiting players from the JUCO ranks. Noticed Alabama and FSU picking top players off the table, but not Miami. If The U is not finding DT and OL from high school recruiting is this not the next best option?

Just a question for those that are highly involved with the recruiting process.

This is true. We never seem to go after (or get) any JUCO players and we could definitely benefit. I remember Kamalu and the other cat who were serviceable.
 
The last few years we relied heavily on juco and the staff pulled in some highly ranked juco players.

We brought in five OL last year though and depth is better outside of corner so I'm not sure that the staff felt it was a priority. That or they whiffed on some


I know juco are big for depth purposes but just curious, anyone have any idea who the last juco player we had ended up being a great player for us?
 
Juco football isnt as good as top Florida HS football teams I say 3A or larger

Mike Wyche was Juco we got an OL from Juco never broke the two deep with our OL Washington TE JUCO

Sometimes you hit with Juco players we have had rotten luck with them best one we had is the CB that plays for GB now was from Indiana name fails me
 
Richt went into the JC ranks regularly at Georgia. I wouldn't be surprised if we brought in a JC OL in the class....

And I think he'll use it to supplement the classes when necessary....

We don't what Richt's assessment of needs is or if he has already been in contact with any JC guys. Before we decide he needs to recruit the JUCO ranks harder lets give the man until mid January.
