His life so far would make a **** of a movie...i.e "The Blind Side"! Hope he can join the Canes family!

Now here's a story I haven't heard before.

Tough not to root for this kid. If he doesn't pass the three classes, is that it for him as far as DI goes? Or is that simply for Miami?

LMFAO you read that and you ask if he'll pass the classes?!?!? You fail at comprehension. This kid will not fail those classes. Not a god**** chance.

Ifd this dude never plays a down I would still be proud to have him represent UM and show that you can go from the bottom literally and still fulfill your dream

Since he is on athletic scholarship, and clearly has unmet needs he could still apply for pell grants and qualify, not mention he can still apply for stafford loans to cover housing. The Fin Aid office at that school is doing this young man a serious disservice.

Here is link outlining what i am referring to, Pete please share with the young man

Also I wish the young man the best of luck, great article by the way.

This is a sad story that UM has heard before except that story was much much worse UM fans should remember the story of Antonio Dixon who was homeless from the age of 16 but also had no parents and top that was learning disabled. That was a story that actaully made me tear up a little.

Antonio Dixon story.

Dixon lands 2 yr contract after being cut.

I think this young man could follow in Dixons foot steps of persistance at UM, and i can think of 2 DT's right now on the roster that could use him in their I am speaking of Briscoe and Ivey.

Man, people can say our fanbase is whatever all they want, fair weather, butthurt (rightfully) at the NCAA, fine, but considering how much we've been ****ed around by recruits who have their heads up their asses, by the city of Miami, and by the NCAA, the way we've responded to that guy on twitter and ****, man. Ain't nothin like the Cane family. Nothin.

@TrinidadBrad man you don't have to tell me twice

The best thing about this situation is if he gets th UM offer and has good year which he should i believe he would be a 1 and done thus not affeting the recruiting class depth for 2014. An no one could blame this young man for going after the money if he grades out at a 3rd round or better, given what he has gone through and he has been injured. But even if he stays for 2 yrs it still should hurt things with potential recruits since it would give 1 or 2 of them the chance to red shirt in 2014.

The more i think about the more i think he gets the offer.
