JR15 Misses and a Few Bonus Pics

So does this change peoples' minds about JT4 not "being in" the game? I see a kid who should be rightfully frustrated. He is abusing the DB's and unfortunately JW can't get him the ball.

It will come with time, but I think we can lay off Thomas with the "his heart wasn't in it" matra.
Make the f'ing catch against Henderson and then he can complain.

Also try not to muff the punt either.

Some of these are comical lol. Jarren can't just press the X button and throw the ball 50 yards in the air with a guy in his face and hit the receiver in stride.

I bet you could take similar screenshots of almost every football game played by any team all year.
Thank you . Watching him , even in his 1st start against the best D he will see all season , I was impressed and thought - holy **** we finally have a QB who could be great. He didn't throw one Rosier ball ( or what we call in Jax a Bortlesball ) all night . Not once did I say WTF at a pass . It was refreshing . Obviously he left things on the field but all the things he didn't do we minor and all he did do was show a ton of promise.

If anything this thread just got me really excited about Enos. Guys were open all over the place. He’ll get Jarren right.

Agreed on a few of these. Solid arm, but a few he's under pressure and needs to be able to set his feet to make throws.

Every single Nfl or College game Ive watched live there are dudes wide open that the QB never sees...this means nothing

When I saw The play where Thomas spun the db around the endzone, I chalked It up to just bad blocking , but seeing another picture the ball has to be out because he had Thomas here for sure if it’s thrown now

Exactly. Is this supposed to give us hope?

The QB has to prove that he can see them & hit them or it’s all meaningless.

On a serious note I was impressed on how accurate Jarren was with his throws. He threw one short to Thomas when we were backed up I think in the 3rd. Very refreshing not to see balls thrown 45000 yards off the target. He gave guys chances to make catches. Very confident in him going forward. I do feel like he could have taken off on a couple plays tho and gotten first downs.

Yeap, Jarren flashed all over the place Saturday but he could have done even better which is the scary part(obviously great for us)

He did but it isn't scary(in a good way), it should be expected. We have gotten so used to kinda almost being there in a few years, then in the off season pump up the bravado that the SEC is so scared of us being back. At some point and that point is now with the 17 and 18 class being soph and juniors that we need to make that statement and we missed a great opportunity last Saturday. I hope we learn from this and we dominate the rest of the schedule and meet Clemson in Charlotte but the time to make noise is now. Fvck showing flashes, show out, others do it, why can't we expect our guys to? We lost to a top 15-20 Gators team, once again no way to spin this into the positive unless we run the table until the Tigers.

Makes me feel better than I did when Perry played last year. I wasn’t sold on Perry due to who he played against and his decision making wasn’t the best. He struggled against FSU but came up big at the end for us that game then the season just went downhill from there. I don’t see that problem with Jarren.

**** Jeff Thomas was more open throughout the night than I thought.

Granted he muffed the punt and dropped the TD but if he had been thrown the ball more, he would've made up for it.

For sure and it’s not even close. We won’t see a secondary like that( Henderson, Wilson,Dean) or edge rushers like that all year in the regular season. Our receivers were getting open, we ran the ball pretty well and saw us break a few runs(1 called back). We just played our hardest matchup on the schedule and honestly should have won that game . Should be interesting to see how he progresses with experience

Absolutely, there’s no reason why we should run the table. Special teams, o line, and tackling needs to be better. Jarren will only get better as the season progresses and the stupid penalties need to stop starting next week. No excuses for the false starts, delay of games, and unsportsmanlikes.

Yeah those penalties got us off track offensively. Couldn’t do a lot of shift and motions because **** near every play we barely was getting the snap off really

Brock,
On that particular play he could have even let it go before he even made the break.

He’ll hopefully only learn.

While it’s great he didn’t throw a pic, I wish he would have trusted his wrs and the routes and let a few go and let wr maybe make a play on the ball.

The big difference in the game, one of them, was that this was our QB's first start, new head coach, new OC, etc. And Frank's has been a long time starter with a coach in his second year with him.
