I don't fault the kid for tucking the ball away given that it was drilled into him that he not turn the ball over. Like kids, they take it to an extreme. He had plenty of opportunities to throw the ball away or run or even make a dynamic play. I believe the mistakes he made in this game were better than throwing interceptions, which would have eroded his confidence and the team's confidence in him. here are some plays that he left on the field.

In this play, he had heavy pressure and dumped it off to Dallas, but had JT4 open already.

On this play he has pressure but if he anticipates just a little bit he can put the ball in the endzone to JT4 since he's turned around his defender.

This bonus pic shows how the we failed to adjust to the motion by No. 1 and Florida created a huge mismatch that lead to the touchdown.

Here, near the goal line, he has the middle of the field open and Jordan moving into the open space, but JR15 threw it behind him for a reception but little YAC.

this is a roll out to the right and while faint you can see JT4 (i think) open by a mile.

this is what LuCane said earlier in the week, get pressure on Franks in his face and he'll disintegrate. Ford pressures Frank and although the two Florida receivers are open, Franks overthrows them and Carter gets the pick.

Another rollout play and our receiver is behind the defender.

And on the final series, i believe he rolls to the right again but had Osborn open right in the middle of the field for an 8-10 yard play.

He'll grow up fast in the next two weeks.

Look at the right side of the field. That WR was so open. How do you roll to your right and still keep your eyes in the middle of the field the entire play.
Jarren played a lot worse then what we thought. I'll put it like this, if Jarren is just a check down charlie play someone else. 2 of our main WRs are speed guys.. trust the 1v1. Im not a Nkosi fan AT ALL, like AT ALL and I think he would of won this game just off the fact he would have taken risk.

the WR at the 20 yard line is covered.

Screaming from the stands did not help though, there were more open then I realized and I saw a lot of open Canes. o_O

it's his first start.... and his problem wasn't checking down too much...

Some of these are comical lol. Jarren can't just press the X button and throw the ball 50 yards in the air with a guy in his face and hit the receiver in stride.

I bet you could take similar screenshots of almost every football game played by any team all year.

Hats off to you. First "the backup QB would've done better!" take I read this football season. Bonus points for it being the same backup QB we had last year, who was terrible when he did play.

Will have to go back and read the rest, but look at his feet and set up in the first picture and tell me do you still want him to throw the ball to the spot you have circled? Because if he does, it's likely not getting there, and a high probabability of catastrophe.

Man Enos could have done better at chipping the ends ,but i can only imagine how loud he was yelling cause I was the whole game. PULL THE TRIGGER SON!
