Well, Butch did have the meltdown against ECU with a good team that would be one close game from perfect a year later.

Huh? At the time he played them, he was 7-7 against top 25 ranked teams while at Oregon. At UM, he is 1-6.
 
Here's the reality so far under Mario.

1-6 vs top 25 teams (not getting it done against quality opponents)

4-9 in November (not winning when it counts and when your team should be peaking)

5 losses as a double digit favorite. Most of any FBS program since 2022 (consistently losing to teams we have no business losing to. signs of being underdeveloped and poorly coached)
