Mario clearly got hoodwinked, did he not talk to any coaches about Gattis before hiring him? Guy did the longest coaching search on history and made possibly the worst choice of any major school. Utter failure.

There won’t be any need for backtracking on anything said here. Players and coaches are judged on their performance. To this point, their performances have been dreadful. Every bit of criticism has been deserved. When things change or start to change, people will also change their opinions.

Coaches from other teams with no skin in the game said the Miami hire of Gattis would not work, were not impressed with him and Michigan would not miss him. Then when the season started, those same coaches texted him “i told you so”

He's not wrong and it's actually refreshing to hear someone say they aren't the guy to talk about problems going on by dissecting plays. He seems to know his role and stay in it.
