Pate his a homerun when he mentions variance.

Condensing a game is what you want to do when you are an underdog. It allows less opportunities for talent to come through and increases variance.

The opposite is true. If you are the better team, you want more plays. It allows talent to shine through and lowers variance.

Simple concept backed by math. Mario doesnt understand this point and that has been clear for years.

Mind boggling offensive identity.

Honestly, hate to say it but I think Mario is missing something upstairs.... there is no other explanation. Everyone else sees what's going on but he just bulls on, year after year....

Forget about last year. In 2023, we averaged 5.0 yards per carry and now we are down to 3.9. And Beck and Fletcher are better than what we had then.

I’ve been talking to a lot of CFB/NFL people outside of UM and will be posting a long post with some external perspectives on the issues with this offense.
