Josh Pate’s midseason updated CFP prediction

Isn't dude usually wrong tho?
I am so tired of hearing this. Find me someone who is right more than 50% of the time so I can follow their picks and win a lot of money. Guess what? People who try to pick the playoff teams and championship winner 3-4 months ahead of time are going to be wrong way more than they are right. How many people, including Miami fans, had Miami going to last year's championship. How many had Indiana winning it all? Newsflash, EVERYONE is usually wrong when it comes to picking sports. If they weren't, they would be making a lot of money gambling.

In this scenario we wouldn't be playing in the Orange Bowl. If BYU is the #1 seed they would almost certainly pick the Sugar Bowl.

Getting the #1 seed is important.
We're still ok if we're 2 or 3.
What #1, who would play #4, would pick the Orange Bowl?

I don't know what the answer to this is, but what if the #1 gets knocked off?
How are the sites decided? Is it the highest seed left standing?

The #1 seed sets their quarter and semi locations for their path in the bracket. Once they do that the other semi-final location is locked in on the other side of the bracket. The #2 seed goes next and picks from the remaining 3 quarter final sites. The #3 team selects from the remaining 2. The #3 team is left with the last one.

The #1-#4 get byes so they will get their quarter-final locations. If any of them lose it doesn't matter because the bracket has been set and locations already determined for each path.

If you're #1 Notre Dame and #4 Alabama is on your side of the bracket, you may choose Miami in the semi's over New Orleans because the Sugar Bowl is easier to get to for Bama and they're more comfortable with the location.

Don't believe it.
80 then.

Lmao 4 SEC teams, and what’s the thought process behind Miami/ND? Does Miami get the #4 seed after beating ND? Does ND get the #6 seed after beating Miami and they’re gonna still rank Miami ahead ? (Could you imagine lmao)

Still convinced that either Utah or Houston is taking ANOTHER spot from the SEC.
Do we think Wake gets left out at 11-2 with their losses only to a (presumed) undefeated & #1 Miami ?

If they’re in the top 12 during the ACCCG then there’s no way they drop them at all, especially with how they handled conference Championship losses last year. It would be RIDICULOUS if Wake Forest lost to Miami 2x and gets punished for that after running the table outside of that.
Wake would give any playoff team a scare

You want to jump up and down because he picked us to go all the way.. you go right ahead.

Jump and down, wtf are you talking about? I don't care who he picks. Just admit to yourself that I made you realize that your comment was dumb. I hope I helped you learned something. don't criticize someone for being wrong about a pick 3 months ahead of time.

I guess it's good entertainment? Or something.. I don't know about you but it matters to me if someone is usually wrong in their predictions. I don't care when they make them. Let me help you learn something that should be really obvious.. If someone is usually wrong, take that into account when they speak. I'm not sure why this is an argument.
