Josh Moore and Charmar Brown - out for the season

So this is where we stand 3 games in, anyone else missing?
  • Josh Moore WR3 - Out for Season
  • Chamar Brown RB2 - Out for Season
  • OJ Frederique CB1 - Out for Regular Season Minimum
  • Xavier Lucas - CB2 - Out till mid October Minimum
  • Malachi Toney - WR1 - Week to week with shoulder
  • Mark Fletcher - RB1 - Week to week with shoulder
  • Jaboree Antoine - CB4/5 - Out till November
  • Ahmad Moten - DT1 - Week to week with shoulder
  • Ezekiel Marcellin - LB3/4 - Out a month
Also, we can stop with the "I had a feeling injuries would hit us this year"? It's confirmation bias, we all ruminate about it during spring and summer so when it happens it feels on the nose.
All pretty accurate. Although I think Mario mentioned this morning that Marcellin would be “a couple of weeks”. Obviously, with him that could mean longer than 2, but I haven’t heard / read yet that he is out a full month.

Gilbert in pre-season as well.

I'm gonna try to be an optimistic boy right now, so here goes:

Before the season, I think everyone was in agreement that our deepest positions were, in no particular order, RB, WR, and CB.

So, if you *have* to lose kids long-term, well, it's an RB, WR, and then a corner is out for a while, but maybe not all year.

We should be able to absorb these. I hate it for the kids, obviously. And for the team, Marty and Moore were expected to be big contributors this year.

But if you tell me, for the rest of the season, I can have a *HEALTHY* RB room of Fletcher, Pringle, Lyle, and Mallory, I'll take it.
And if you tell me, for the rest of the season, I can have a *HEALTHY* WR room of Mali, Barkate, Upshaw, Jacobs, Wingo, Parris, Spafford, I'll take it.
And if you tell me, for the rest of the season, starting in October, I can have a *HEALTHY* CB room of Lucas, EOC, Antoine, and Brown, I'll take it.

We can absorb this and be fine. But some of these kids MUST step up. I'm looking at you, Jordan Lyle. I'm looking at you, Girard Pringle. I'm looking at you, Xavier Lucas (you need to get your *** back and be 100.0%, real soon). I'm looking at you, Cooper Barkate. I'm looking at you, Daylyn Upshaw.

We have plenty of talent in these rooms. All this really does is condense the touches distribution some. But there is still plenty of dudes in these rooms to get us where we wanna go. This just has to be it, on the injury front. This is crazy.
Excellent post. There's no denying that it sucks and nobody wants to see these kids get hurt and miss the season but this is what we recruit for. For these extreme contingencies.

As much as I absolutely hate this for Charmar Brown and Josh Moore, I truly believe that Mallory and Wingo are ready to step up then you have a wildcard in Lyle.

I am low key concerned about the bit about Marcellin being out a few weeks.

Prior to the season, Luka Gilbert and JJ Sparks.

Anyone trying to defend turf is clueless and clearly has never stepped on turf. There is a reason NFL players hate the stuff. It wrecks there bodies! For the World Cup venues that are traditionally turf, that had to be replaced with grass. And there was an uproar in the NFL player community as to why World Cup games gets grass but they have to continue to play on turf.

Fletcher's last play. This is the type that can cause a labrum injury for the right shoulder. He didn't show any signs of pain so hopefully he is right, just held out for precausion.

If Mensah, Moten or Samson get gone for the season..then I will join the "panic" train. But everyone that has been lost is being replaceed by a PROVEN player. Marty is being replaced by Lyle and Moore is potentially being replaced by Jacobs. These are PROVED backups. We know what they can do, they just need to do it. Jacobs did it in the SEC. This is the ACC we are talking here. Lyle was the next big thing before he got injured.

We are far from panic mode like some posts im seeing on here. Lol. Relax guys. 90% of us saw that Clemson vs UNC game..Clemson is not good. We can beat them with the squad we have now. FSU as well. Lets take it one game at a time and when the ND game comes..see who we have and let the cards fall as they may.

I had a feeling you'd make a porst like this because of the injury bug biting our Canes.

I knew it!

Fair, I added padding like the good former big 4 consultant I am

****** part is it’s 100% a money decision. That’s why all these high schools switch over to artificial turf, and half of them don’t maintain it as is.
