I still find it strange he had a job with the football staff in the first place. I thought he was just some radio guy for years. I had no idea he had experience being on college football staffs.

Darrow organized the football camps. He had very little to do with recruiting. He also ran SFHSports,com prior to joining AG's staff. So he had a lot of connections within the high school coaching community.

This is a good post for those who do not know who Josh Darrow is.

I think his skill set was more beneficial to al golden than it will be to coach Richt. Golden needed every bit of local intel he could muster up. My suspicion is that coach Richt will have more pull with the local HS coaches, as will his staff. Hence, there is less of a need to carry a low level spot for a Josh Darrow type. At least that's the way Im seeing this.
