Jordan Stevenson Official Visit

I am thinking he may not have been admitted by miami since mentions hw picked Neb becauase they offered the best academics for him. Which is total bs since UM is a top45 school and Neb is sub top 100. He also tweeted out his commit before he even landed back in Dallas .

Anybody feeling confident about him coming should be ashamed of themselves .

Wonder how he'll get into Miami academically if he didnt get cleared at Wisconsin.

Al Golden and Beaz just starting following him on twitter

Can't tell if your being serious. Wisconsin's academic requirements don't bend for athletes. They are just below Stanford in what they require from student athletes to get admitted. It is an exceptional school. I don't know what UM requires but I would assume it is less than Wisconsin.

I won't make any assumptions, but I agree with the rigidity of Wisky's admissions. Supposedly that is the primary reason Gary Andersen left for Oregon State, where he can recruit a different type of qualifier.

lol at hurricane mike who thinks football players at stanford and duke and michigan and UM are admitted under the same requirements as regular students. if you have a 2.5 and about 900 SAT and are a top recruit, you can get in almost anywhere.

Stevenson commits to Nebraska
By Bryan Munson July 30,2015

Nebraska added a huge commitment for its 2015 class by landing four-star running back Jordan Stevenson of South Oak Cliff (Texas) on Thursday.

Stevenson, who is ranked the No. 27 running back in his class and the No. 34 player in the state of Texas, made the announcement on his Twitter account.

A former Wisconsin commit, Stevenson was denied admission by UW and reopened his recruitment earlier this week. He officially visited Nebraska and Miami and was potentially going to visit Alabama as well before making his decision.

I'm officially a Nebraksa corn Husker Go #GBR⚪️ I will touchdown tomorrow #HuskerNation stay tune lets ride BIG RED truly blessed

Jordan Stevenson is a Husker. The 5-foot-9 and 188-pound running back with 4.4/40 speed from Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff had been considering both Nebraska and Miami. The decision was supposed to come by week's end, but Stevenson announced his commitment via his Twitter account Thursday afternoon that he was a Husker.

"Basically it came down to the education and the athletics and where I can be successful with both," Stevenson said. "I didn't really consider the offense or how I will be used in the offense. I feel like I can be successful in any offense and really I just wanted to focus on the academics and overall success."

There were some members of the new coaching staff under Mike Riley at Nebraska who Stevenson was familiar with. Both coaches Brian Stewart and Trent Bray had recruited Stevenson before coming to Nebraska to work with Riley. Stevenson admits that it helped he had some familiar people who he had a comfort level with reaching back out to him and wanting to help him.

"That helped. When I needed a shoulder to lean on because I was going through a tough situation the Nebraska staff reached out to me. They wanted to let me know that I had a place where I can go and have success and that was a good fit. That really helped to know some coaches from earlier in the process."

There is little time for Stevenson to enjoy the commitment because he is set to be in Lincoln, Nebraska Friday.

Stevenson said that he's not excited about just one thing or a couple of things when it comes to beginning his career as a Husker. Ultimately he knows that this is the start to him securing his future and having success.

"I actually leave for Nebraska tomorrow," Stevenson said. "I am excited about getting to work and doing what's best for me in the classroom and on the football field."

The Rasul de commit says it all. The message from FSU was Golden will be gone at seasons end come to FSU. Hate to see us manhandled time after time by FSU/Gator coaches. Painful
