Jordan Stevenson Official Visit

With Rasul flipping to FSU and Fils-Aime likely not coming here, it would soften the blow of only landing one top back per recruiting class yet again (Homer). But we're not lucky enough to have a player of Stevenson's caliber fall right into our laps.
 
Wouldn't take him over fils aime or homer so if it hurts our chances with those two don't even bother , anyone that follows Texas football how hard was the comp he played against ?
 
Wisconsin is a very good school academically - at least it's engineering program has been top notch for a long time. I'm not sure what the "overall" rankings are of both schools, but Wisconsin is a strong engineering school nationally and internationally....

Sounds like we're not getting Fils-Aime anyway. And I'd be much more interested in officially adding an explosive RB of Stevenson's caliber to the roster for the next coach instead of clinging to hope that we'll hang onto verbal commits after the season we're about to have.

Homer's likely the only top back we have a chance of getting in this cycle, if he sticks. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what it seems like. It would be great to add Stevenson for the next coach.

But this is all a moot discussion because we're not lucky enough to have this kid fall right into our laps.

As good as it gets. In the highlights several plays are against 6A Desoto (top 5 team in the state, beat Miramar in 2012 and these teams were better than that one) and 6A Cedar Hill (down 18-14 at halftime to BTW in 2013, a 5 loss team that year but won state the next 2 years which are the teams these clips are against). Some clips against top 10 5A teams in Lancaster and Ennis (2014 State champ in 5A) as well.

Even if we manage to get him, he might have the audacity to run over a linebacker or something. 3 game suspension minimum, detriment to team unity.

I don't want to get my hopes up over this kid. Sounds too good to be true. Him coming with his mom at least will let us know he is serious and not taking a free trip.

I don't think Fils-Aime is off the board just yet. I have faith we are still in the thick of things.

I've never got this thinking . You take a sure thing and worry about the next class when it comes . Especially a four star stud .

We're in no position of passing on talented players , at a position that needs depth.

A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush.
