I didn't love the 3rd and 2 catch not fighting for the first. I mean, I don't want to be too harsh. We got an amazing win over a rival. First game of year and his career. True freshman. Love the pass pro. Just doesn't remind me of Duke or Walton who had that burst with the rock. But then again, maybe he's gonna cook this week.

I feel you. I also thought if it were more grass. He would have gotten it. Maybe the momentum from the hit forced him out of bounds. It’s gotta be something there. If he’s surpassed 2 backs who saw game action last year. Just needs more game action I believe.

not harsh at all ... those are facts ... in a situation like that you gotta get the first ... but he does what alot of frosh backs don't do ... he pass protects ...

I don't want to agree, but I do. I love his preparedness and physicality as a true freshman (blocking, blitz pickup etc) but I didn't see the natural running ability of the guys you mentioned. He can be a really good player on a really good team, but I didn't see the instincts with the ball I saw with our elite backs of the past. Reminded me of James Jackson.

two things can be true ... he left a play on the field, but also had a good debut in a bigtime game ...

Agree with where you’re coming from.

Guy will show flashes this year but will be an absolute beast next year. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s the best homegrown we’ve had in a while.
