Jordan Lyle is not hurt and is a Cane!

He's gonna break a big run this week if he gets similar touches.

Let’s hope so. Pitt has the best rushing defense in the country. But they also aren’t great against the pass, but do cause turnovers at a high rate. Shades of UL last year…

Who has Pittsburgh played that has you saying they have the best rush defense in the country? They are going to get ran over and dominated in the run game like every other team going against Miami.

His own feet got in the way of a few this week, including a TD

Yeah, that's to be expected with guys who are still a little rusty and not yet completely trusting their instincts. Lyle needs more touches - liked what I saw. Pitt is physical.

Mario brought it up in the Monday press conference.

I wonder if Wilson had the flu - only played 25 snaps. Makes you wonder who else didn't play or played very little. Maybe that explains the lack of OL rotation?

I don't think Wiley played so he must have had the flu. I'm going to venture a guess Wilson had it too.

Good point, Mario only mentioned "players" having the flu, so it is entirely possible Wilson could have had it.

They opened with Ohio version of Miami and going off of lead rusher per game: gave up 6 carries for 21 yards, 59-14 win.

UCF 13 carries for 13 yards, 12-7 win for Pitt.

Syracuse 14 carries 78 yards and a TD, 27-13 win for Pitt.

Bucknell, 10 carries 31 yards, 59-0 Pitt win.

Vtech 17 carries 46 yards, 35-33 win for Pitt.

UNC 12 carries 25 yards 21-17 LOSS for Pitt.

BC 15 carries 57 yds 1 td 27-21 LOSS for Pitt.

It was awesome to see Lyle breakout. He definitely has a unique skillset from the rest of the room. Hope it continues.

What I find funny about comments like these is people will pound the table for Pitt (not saying you specifically but in general) and cite the #1 rush defense yet I feel those same people when Miami had the #1 rush defense up until last week the narrative was we had not played a good running team yet.
