A name close by on the radar is Fort Pierce (Fla.) Westwood safety Jordan Crutchfield. The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder has been hearing plenty from Will Harris since his move over from Florida.

"Now that Coach Will there from Florida, I talk to Coach Will, [Alex] Mirabal, the head coach, everybody on the staff really," Crutchfield said of his communication with Miami.

"I'm just ready to see how it all plays out. They had a great season. I think they lost two games, three games? They got a new quarterback Caron Beck, Joshisa Trader going to step up. I'm just ready to see this new team–Malachi Toney. They got a good rebuild, so I'm excited to see that," Crutchfield said.

"It's close to home. They're one of my [official visits]. I mess with it heavy. Ain't nothing like the crib," Crutchfield said.

Louisville, Kentucky, Penn State, North Carolina, and Mississippi State are a few schools that are doing a strong job of recruiting Crutchfield at this stage of the process. At this stage of the process, his only two official visits that have set dates are to Kentucky (June 6-8) and Louisville (June 13-15).

Did he really say we have a new quarterback CARON Beck, or is that a typo? And if he did say Caron, could the interviewer not just add the “s”?
