Miami might’ve just landed the steal of the entire 2026 class with the singing of two-way star Jontavius Wyman.



The 6-foot, 175-pounder from Jonesboro possesses high-level movement skills and excels as both a defender and returner.

Having seen him play, Wyman looks much more natural at WR than as a defensive back as he really seems to avoid contact. But I also thought Fitzgerald would have more success as a WR for the same reasons, so what the h*ll do I know.

Redding OTOH is trying to hit everyone.

Was saying the same a few weeks ago. Multiple coaches in his area were telling me not to buy the hype and the accolades. Don't fall for the highlights. Saying he avoids contact and had a rough senior year and got targeted in the run game and had some rough film.

One is a Georgia fan and probably salty. Not sure what to think. I haven't found anything personally.

We got it worked out with Bryce so they have my benefit of the doubt for a very similar situation.

He could follow the path of current Miami freshman Bryce Fitzgerald — an electric two-way player who’s electric on both sides of the ball. Like Fitzgerald, Wyman is an absolute ballhawk who could become a special player for the ’Canes.



For Redding, the four-star safety just makes his presence felt all around the field.

An athletic safety from Jonesboro, Ga., Redding is listed at 6-foot, 175 pounds. From hard hits to lightning quick breaks on the ball, Redding’s athleticism is abundantly clear — even listed as a Georgia basketball preseason 4A second team as a point guard.



And while he might be more “raw” at this stage his traits are just as promising – if not better in some aspects.



He will join high school teammate Jontavius Wyman as part of Miami’s 2026 secondary signees, and will be one to keep an eye on for the future.

Difference is Wyman will be a full time cb....we had more concern with Bryce because we knew they were putting him back at safety and he would have to fill run lanes a bit.
