Jonathan Brewer joined the Mustangs prior to the 2018 season and serves as an offensive quality control assistant.

Brewer came to the Hilltop after serving as the offensive quality control analyst/special projects working with the quarterbacks under Rhett Lashlee at UConn. In 2016, Jonathan served as an offensive analyst working the wide receivers at Auburn University, under Lashlee and Kodi Burns. From 2013 to 2015, Brewer served as the offensive graduate assistant working with the offensive line, under JB Grimes. Before getting into the college ranks, Jonathan served as a high school assistant/offensive coordinator at various high schools in Arkansas from 2005 to 2012.

Brewer graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2010 and earned a master's degree in adult education from Auburn University in 2014.

As someone else stated, hope this guy is coming just as an analyst not a first time coach. Dont need coaches learning on the job

Have to imagine Manny was not stupid enough to give Lashlee full control of hiring coaches like he did with Enos...

ok...Now let's find a Barry replacement, a replacement for at least 1 db coach, and hopefully a stubbs replacement.

Diaz certainly doesn't have a rolodex to just hire anyone.

I don't think he has a leg to stand on, to be honest. Right now Lashlee would probably be better off staying at SMU - he's taking a bit of a leap of faith here. No doubt he wants his own people around him.
