So you would take the chance?
Why would you think he will be successful here? Recruiting? We had Randy pulling the number 1 recruiting class in 2008 and failed to do anything with it.
If you are a good coach, you do well wherever you go. Case in point: Meyer. If you are a good coach you hire good assistants who will go and be successful somewhere else, e.g. Butch Davis. Does Strong have any of those skills? Recruiting alone won't take you very far.

According to a recent update Miami is zeroing in on Charlie Strong as top candidate. I told you guys he was Vilma's guy back a few years ago, and it looks like this is the top candidate he was talking about and having to have deep pockets for their guy. I'm not going to get mad yet, but Strong better get a lot better staff than he has at Texas, mainly a better OC if all this is true.

Also, I've read where Strong doesn't have a buyout, Texas would just have to pay off his staff if he was fired. If Miami targets him and there is a buyout or we have to pay any extra for him, I'm going to be really disappointed.
