SIAP, but did anyone see the footage on NFL Network tonight of the Hall of Famers being notified of making the Hall of Fame earlier this year at their respective homes?

Cris Carter knocked on Andre Johnson's door and Andre answers with a U sweatshirt. I'm sure he was notified beforehand, but going with the U sweatshirt was awesome.

Edgerrin James was the HOF'er who knocked on Hester's door.

Great year for the U in the NFL HOF!

Question have there ever been 2 or more players from the same school abducted in the same year of the Hall of Fame? If not we should be really proud to have 2 going in the same time among the many that are already in. I would like to know the average of Canes in the Hall compared to other school? I think by this we can show kids we can get them to the league but to the Hall of Fame as well.

No abductions. They were all free to leave after they were inducted. ;)

2 in one year from the same school happened at least twice: George Halas (he played ball actually) & Red Grange both went to Illinois and went in the first year. Then Northwestern had 2 players go in 1965 (I'm not going through the whole list).

ND & USC tie for the most in the HOF with 14 each. Miami, Michigan, & Ohio St. are next with 11 each.

Pretty **** awesome for the small private school in South Florida!
 
Oh the fantastic memories of the Hester and Johnson years. GO CANES!

Very well deserved for some great players. They are some of my favorite Canes of all-time. Throw in Reed and Sean Taylor and that rounds out my personal top 5.
