John Meredith 5* CB from Fort Worth, TX (North Crowley HS) Commits to Texas

Yeah i get good players, that the school’s community has invested into, transferring is hard on the community. . . . . And Florida, especially South Florida, has crazy amounts of player movement; However, it will never not be hilarious to me that California and Texas came up with the same ‘solution’ which was to restrict transferring teenagers from competing during one of the four years they have in high school. That will never make sense to me.

I’m not from Texas so what usually happens next in this scenario? Does he go back to his old school or is his senior season cooked?

He'll appeal & be reinstated.

The whole thing is just the District being petty because he left Euless Trinity.

At worst, he'll just transfer to another School outside of Dallas & his eligibility will be fine.

A few sources indicated that Chaminade Madonna and Carol City are the two most likely landing spots, with Meredith also considering a reclassification to the 2026 class and joining Texas's roster immediately.

Talk about a world of possibilities lol.

Seems like this was the big time transfer that was rumored to CC these past two weeks.

Assuming he was already ahead of his credits schedule so he could early enroll at UT, finishing a semester in a month is actually manageable.

But imo what’s the rush? Reclassifying up should be a deliberate decision rather than haphazard one because of transfer regulations
