Joe Yearby

I am as concerned about our Oline as anyone, but just because it's inexperienced doesn't mean it isn't, or won't be, good. I mean, Flowers et al. didn't have as many "starts" when they first started as they did at the end of last year, but it's not like they were just terrible until their last few games here (once they had a bunch of starts).

Erik Flowers received glowing reviews from the first day he stepped on campus.

From 2012....

"He's doing great. I'm really impressed with him. He's running with the ones everyday," Fisch said. "There is no hesitancy. You wouldn't think he's a freshman the way he's playing. He understands the system. He's next to Brandon Linder everyday and he can communicate. I'm really proud of the way Ereck is playing and all the potential he's showing us. He's strong. He's physical. He's athletic and he really seems to enjoy the game.

I have not heard close to the same enthusiasm for Trevor Darling. Darling was not very good during the end of last year. I'm not even going to get into Odogwu....

The bottom line is that the odds of Kayaa progressing far exceed those of doing just as well after losing 5 draft picks to the NFL.
