Joe yearby sophmore highlight

His weight is fine. He just isn't a very fast straight-line runner.

His cuts to make people miss are great. Unfortunately there's just no burst out of those cuts. He just can't pull away from anyone. I hope he sheds a couple pounds, regains a little speed & quickness, and is used in change of pace role vs. an every down back.

Gain what speed back ? Yearby never had elite speed if you have watched him from highschool. He's ALWAYS a been a quicker than fast guy period... The added weight helped his game a lot...

Yearby is a quintessential zone/cutback RB. I'll be interested to see how much zone vs. power we run and how he fits in to our blocking schemes this year.

I know Yearby will never be fast, but I'd like to see him play at a weight where he's at his maximum speed & quickness. Probably around 195 vs. the 202 he's listed at.

His game is quickness, so I don't see what gaining extra weight so he can take more of a pounding does, since he shouldn't be an every down back. With Gus & Homer in the backfield this year, there's probably going to be less carries for Yearby, so I think losing some weight will make him more effective in the carries he does get.

I think the same with Duke Johnson. He gained weight his Junior year because he did have to be an every down back for us, and had to take some punishment. He kept that weight on in the pros and it's affected his speed & quickness. He's not an every down NFL back, so he should shed some weight now and regain some of that speed & quickness.

He's a solid player but we should have a more explosive talent starting at RB at The University of Miami.

He's very solid! His quickness/cutting ability is elite! He is no doubt an NFL change of pace back. He's not gonna break the 80-90 yarder but will pick up the 10-20 consistently with his cuts.

If Derrick Henry can score 80 and 90 yard touchdowns so can Joe Yearby.

Yearby had the best feet in his RB class.

Duke looked his fastest in his junior year at Miami and was far more explosive. He got hawked down in his sophmore year... That didn't happen not once his junior year

I think Yearby is a decent back and is getting the most out of his ability. He's a tough runner and a very good receiver. I'm not concerned about his current weight. He still has decent quicks and his game is not speed. I don't get this concept that nobody should gain weight in college. Yearby looked positively tiny as a freshman and he now looks like a college back. I think his weight is fine personally and I'd be surprised if they ask him to lose weight.

He is the type of guy who obviously would be a backup on a very good Miami team, but he's not the reason we're losing games. He was forced to play behind a bad line in a woeful system last year and even a high quality back would've had a tough time against the quality opposition.

Joe yearby in a richt system will be great. Richt has had backs that were less talented who ran very well in the sec. I think yearby should get way more respect than he does.

Seeing him run reminds me of watching Ray Rice in person. Doesn't have elite break away speed, but can take a pounding and always seems to make the first guy miss. Also has great hands. Will have a decent NFL career as a spot starter for someone and good back up running back.

1000 yds behind that line is pretty special. Would love to see him get a tick or two faster in the off-season, but got nothing but love for Yearby.

People fall in love with the long run. Guy ran for 1,000 yards behind the worst line we've had in a while. He is great out of the backfield and does a nice job finding seams and spaces. Just because he doesn't score 80 yards out doesn't means he's not a good back. Yearby's biggest issue for most of y'all is he's not Cook

Some RBs would take a bionic implant to have Yearby's vision. Probably his best asset.
