Joe Batson Retiring At Clemson -- Will Dabo Follow?

Joey Batson has been running S&C at Clemson for a very long time. He was right there with Dabo for all the titles. He announced back in the Spring he's retiring at the end of this upcoming season.

Clemson has a new AD. Dabo is fed up with the state of college football. Tyler from Spartenburg did a number on him. Go back and listen to that phone call again. It was brutal.

I doubt Dabo wants to deal with a new Strength guy running his program and will also retire. Probably some details to be worked out and he doesn't have the luxury of announcing it.

He'll bounce with no fanfare just like Saban.

What do you think?
Dabo will retire because the S&C coach is retiring??? LMAO.

That's assuming Klubnik is as good as advertised.

Clemson lost a lot on an already struggling offense.

Their success is irrelevant to Dabo staying, imo.

They could have an identical season and I still think he retires.
Oh come on. Cade was 10x better last year than the previous. All accounts is that he will be better than last year just due to experience. His WRs are much improved and probably top 5 in the country. Not sure what you have against him, but there is zero chance he retires after this year.

You say a struggling offense?? Do you realize they were the 11th best offense in the country last year (452 yds per game)?

What does Klubnik have to show for last season.

Lost big games.

UGA, South Carolina, and looked extra stale in a season ending loss to UT, in his hometown.

All accounts are the backup was on his heels in Spring Ball at times while simultaneously entertaining pre season Heisman hype.

We'll see but I think King at GT will be the QB to watch in the ACC this season.

Klubnik is JAG, imo.

Imagine a HC retiring or leaving a championship program he built because a S/C is retiring. Wishful thinking.

Lol....his backup is no where in the discussion to play. He will be first team pre season All ACC no doubt. Not sure what you have against Dabo and Clemson, but it's comical that you think Dabo will retire based on his SC and that Cade is a JAG.

Cade was top 10 in yards last year. Not sure what you are looking for unless you are a Gamecock fan.

Extra stale against Texas? He threw for 340 yards and 3tds. Tell me what UT gave up in passing yards in the SEC. Oh ...173 yards per game. If 340 and 3 TDS is stale then I don't know what to tell you.

It's one of the list of reasons I gave.

Gonna mark you down as one of the slow guys.

Who are you even trying to communicate with here?

This thread may be worth revisiting.
