1991 is easily my favorite team. Definitely the best college football staff, but the best team probably goes to the 2001 team. I do think the '91 team is severely underrated and underappreciated. Everybody loves the '83,'86 (I know we didn't win the NC this year),'87, and '01 teams. I think the '91 team would lay waste to most of our National Championship teams and most other college football NC teams throughout the years.

Now, not to derail the thread. Keep the energy coming Fraggle!

Again....stop changing the subject....Take 31 schollies from Drunk Boy in 89 and see where he'd be....Stop the nonsense. His staff and their unpreparedness was *** raped by a mediocre Bama staff in the 93 Sugar Bowl. Same staff that didn't even have a curfew in order the night before the game...as players were out drinking till 4a.m.....then the c*cksucker ran outta Hecht in 95 leaving a Gigantic F-ing mess for Butch to clean up. Spare me with your BS...

So what happened against FSU in 97 or Syracuse in 98?

And you changed the subject bringing up schollies not me.

Butch's staff was amazing and I am honestly not going to argue the point because I think we are splitting hairs but Jimmy's staff can be equally argued

RB - Joe Brodsky - very good
DL - Butch (da gawd LOL)
OL - Tony Wise (with Kehoe asst OL coach)
TE - Don Soldinger
DB - Dave Campo - very good

Bill Foran S&C

This was a phenomenal staff and can equally be argued as best overall staff in UM history. I would take CJ over Hubbard at WR and Pagano over Campo, but Campo was a helluva coach too. But Jimmy's staff had Solly, Kehoe and Butch on it along with these other guys.

He barely had enough kids in 97 to hold a practice....52 scholarship kids....Stop it. Erickson Won 2 NCs with ALL JJs kids....more facts. And even was outcoached by BYU in 1990 which cost us a NC appearance. His 1 back offense fell right into Bama’s hands in 93....how tf do you run that type of offense vs the #1 DL (Curry & Copeland) in America, with NO backup plan. Not to mention a GARBAGE OL (because of his lackadaisical recruiting) and a Sloth footed QB to boot. Once JJs kids left following 92...our recruiting fell off a cliff.

The murder of a up and coming LBer and his GF on campus no less...
Sports Illustrated calling for our Death
Time Magazine saying Miami worst place to live in America....and within 4yrs built the Greatest Collection of Talent in CFB History. And once the Sanctions were over...beat Defending NC FSU in 2000...and an Excellent UF team in the Sugar Bowl. Butch left UM in better shape than Tipsy Boy did....
