In 1984 Jimmy Johnson became the Miami HC. It was late so he was basically stuck with left over coaches. In the Flutie game the DC in the skybox figured Miami won the game and was in the OB elevator with no play called for the last play of the game. Eventually JJ formed what many consider the greatest coaching staff ever. Now we have about 3 weeks until spring ball, how in the world is Guidry and whomever becomes OC going to build an effective staff this late. Pull the trigger Mario, its getting late!

It saddens me to think Burt Baccharat lived into his nineties but not long enough to see our new OC hire.

I can't disagree with anything you said.

Greatest coaching staff ever??....Maybe down the road in the NFL. But not the best staff at UM....

I think the entire community here should go on strike unless Fraggle is limited to one new thread started per month

Not quite sure how those thing situations compare… but, okaaayyyy I guess.

One time, when I was mowing my lawn it struck me that perhaps the broadleaf weeds were actually what I should be growing instead of the actual grass. Later that night, I had pretty severe heartburn from the pizza we had for dinner. I took a Prilosec and chewed on a couple of Tums. I think if Mario is going to succeed, he's going to need a good OC and show improvement this year.
