If I remember his story right no power 5 went after him. Went to a Central Michigan then walked on at Wisconsin
 
He was a skinny two star recruit. No coach in their right mind was offering anything other than preferred walk on. If that.
 
Just because a guy is an amazing player now doesnt mean was like that then and just cause he was a fan doesn't mean Miami has to offer him. And before you or anybody goes on a rant Miami have and will miss out on future gems. I remember hearing that Faulk wanted to be a Cane

Faulk wanted to stay at RB and we wanted him to play another position. I think safety? That is why he didn't come.
 
Yup I read that too. Just like every other school wanted him to play a position out of rb. But my point is still valid seeing how great of a rb he became.

IF JJ didn't have the stars Miami fans would've cried IF the staff would've offered him!! BUT of course now, we know he had to goods BUT our fans tend to get upset when the staff offer recruits that aren't 4 or 5 star recruits, NOW as for 3 star offers IF that recruit has big time offers as well then the fans on here want complain about UM offering a 3 star!!

Every year player's go under the radar and blow into studs and that's what happen with JJ, he wasn't nothing major til he added weight and got to the NFL..

Like all irrational hindsight threads, where was this thread when Watt was being recruited by Central Michigan?

No one gives a **** until X player blows up and some random person tries to look smart and start a thread like this.
 
I feel like we melted down about this already.

Oh, and yes, James White is from Fort Lauderdale.
 
Saw the interview with SVP last night. Yeah it's pretty cool I think that he was a UM fan growing up and his room was plastered with UM stuff.
Of course UM didn't do anything wrong by not recruiting him. There's no way anyone could have known what he would evolve into.
He did say Coker didn't even return a questionnaire he sent him.
