JJ on Castronovo Show

JJ very impressed with Manolo. "i love Manny Diaz...high energy...willing to learn...watch out the Canes are coming over the next few years."

"The water is flat, I gotta go fish'n. Bye."

JJ is the man.
"Willing to learn...." What a breath of fresh air after our last two head coaches. Had to be the two most stubborn coaches to ever come through a single program. Their stubbornness was borderline insanity. Both suffered from smartest man in the room syndrome. I cant wait to see Manny's on field product.

At the risk of over interpreting JJ's comments, his tone seemed to be a subtle rebuke of Richt's program management. I think previously he also stated he didn't think Richt should OC as well as HC.

Overall, you could hear genuine excitement in his voice when Manolo was discussed. He mentioned Diaz meeting with Belichek for some mentoring as well.

I know it’s only been a few months, Manolo hasn’t won a game yet blah blah. I’m genuinely excited finally about the direction of the program and his ability to lead it to the promise land. He’s been playing all the right cards and should make for one helluva HC for seasons to come. Will he get there out of the gate? That’s the elephant in the room - the now generation have the patience of a fly, and anything less than 10 wins will be considered a failure. Personally, I just want to see a much better brand of football on the field, be it offensively, or via special teams. If he can get these 2 groups to match what he accomplished on the defensive side of the ball...there’s going to be some fabulous seasons ahead

Maybe we get a discount if we book early.

Carbon. Carbon is the principle component of charcoal. You're having a barbecue!

Did I get it? Am I invited? I can bring a side dish. Does anyone have any food allergies?

No peanuts everyone's invited

Jimmy absolutely stated Richt should not have been calling plays as HC. Something to the effect of having too much going on during the game. Totally agreed here.
