I hope they do however outside of famu and central Michigan I’m tempering my expectations of seeing them; even with the injuries.

Damari and Ethan are going to be out there a lot; tbd on what’s Lucas’ status. Oj only played two snaps, Ethan 26, and we still only saw 9 snaps each for Portis/Ewald/Mack.
 
We have two first round corners on this roster. Got one replacement this cycle in Wright, may need a dog to enter the portal. Unless someone on the depth chart is a high nfl type talent which I don’t believe so as of right now.

Need to actually see it but those guys are behind some serious talent. And if you haven’t shined at least to replace Brown on the depth chart than idk man.

He's gotten reps at CB in practice before, so it wouldn't be the craziest thing
 
Unprompted, Hetherman mentions the versatility of Ewald and Mack. No mention of, or questions about, Lucas throughout this interview. Don’t recall EOC getting talked about either tho.

Lots of love given to ZP at the end.

He seems keen on, continuing a conversation since spring practice, mentioning the versatility of the DBs and how they rep different looks at different spots. Talks about Omar, Mack, Ewald and JJ specifically

Thought I was trippin, dude has no juice on the field.. Seem to be just going thru the motions on field, how you get hit in head and dont even turn around like zero ***** given..

Damari is better at nickel. I wonder if Omar can cover?
 
My only concern is the potential increase in soft coverage, sometimes 7-8 yards off. Heatherman normally tightens it up 2H and instructs DBs to close space, but he might be more inclined to give his young guys more room to decipher routes as they become comfortable and take lumps early on. In this instance, we’ll need the DL to take a step forward from what we saw week 1.

Luckily, we shouldn’t face many prolific passing attacks from now until November. All eyes on Wake against the lowly Boilermakers this weekend.
