Brother, I've been a Cane fan for 50 years. I've seen the ups and downs. These past 20 years have been brutal. You cannot possibly fault a talent like Jeremiah Smith for going to one of the best teams in football when we were 7-6 with either TVD or Poffensbarger as our QB (Cam signed AFTER Smith went to Taint).

Smith is a generational talent, and he is a leader. Him not coming to Miami is our fault, not his. We didn't do the work necessary to deserve to have him. Now Mario has. I hope he transfers in and joins Jojo and Toney to become the greatest offensive force in all college football in 2026.

If you say you’re the best no matter where you go you will be “that dude”…
