JJ Come Home

What QB situation here versus there. Doesn’t make a ton of sense to move going into his NFL draft tape year, why risk lower his draft slotting?
Should have he come, maybe. Does he move, makes less sense going into next year without a known QB vs Sayin

This is how JJ Smith sees Miami fans right now

JJ wanted to be at Miami. We just weren’t very good during his recruitment. We were coming off a 7-5 season (and 5-7 before that).
He admitted that if he was being recruited today, he would be at Miami.

2 years ago, JJ’s heart and head were in different places. I can’t blame him for following his head.
F that. He could’ve been part of the solution. We were coming off terrible seasons when Bain and Mauigoa came here instead of running to other schools

If Miami was a Nike school or Smith was with Adidas, I’d have put money on him transferring to UM. I think he’d rather be a hero to the city of Miami than to Columbus Ohio.

I think most of us are on the same page that if he wanted to transfer we’d have him because the dude’s talent is undeniable. But he shouldn’t ever be in as high regard as guys like Bain, Francis, Fletch, Wes, Toney who could’ve taken the path JJ did but chose to BE the change they wanted here at home. Those dudes are legends forever

Don’t need that turncoat. We’re good.

It’s cool that he’s good with all his boys. But sides were chosen. He’ll be alright.
Yea... We do. This isn't even a game is OSU doesn't have him. Imagine what this team looks like if he's in orange and green.

Agreed, he’s a playmaker and would take our receiving to another level lined up next to Baby Jesus. But, w/o a known commodity at QB I doubt he moves from OSU. He’s established his legacy there and is moving into an important year
As far as the NFL is concerned. However, his statement about being at UM is important and sends a message to other elite kids on the fence about coming to Miami. He gave us a good referral that carries we some cred bc he does. Just sayin’

Everyone knows Miami is getting the QB it wants this offseason . It’s not even a question. This isn’t the TVD years.

He didn't have a known commodity the last 2 seasons. When he signed with OSU they didn't have a QB and this year Sayin had no experience. He has to know we'll have a proven guy.
