Florida State Seminoles coach Jimbo Fisher says it's 'unfair' to discuss LSU speculation

When asked if he would consider taking the LSU position, Jimbo Fisher would only say that it's "unfair to speculate" and that he wouldn't comment on the job since it isn't officially open.

I agree that FSU is a better program than LSU....

I've never got caught up in the SEC - I've always viewed the big 3 in Florida as being the top "conference"....

It's the only state in the country that can support three big-time schools...Once Miami gets back on track, the media will magically be talking about how the state of Florida is the center of the football world - again....

As for salary, I have no idea what Fisher makes at FSU but I don't think FSU would let him go so easily - especially since he just won a championship there a couple years ago...

Why is FSU the better program? And coaching in the SEC is hard to pass up. That's the conference, and division that most of these guys look to as the ultimate test. The ACC is a boring and sht conference compared to the SEC. You can't beat the game day environment there.

From the very beginning when rumors started swirling that Les Miles was on the hot seat, I doubted LSU was going to fire him. My feelings on that changed about a week ago and now it seems imminent.
I feel that if LSU is willing to pay Miles 15 million NOT to coach at LSU then they mean business. LSU is not firing Les Miles to hire Tom Herman, Kirby Smart, Greg Schiano, Rich Rod, Justin Fuente... they're going to hire a proven winner.
I also think that if/when they fire Les Miles they'll already have an answer on whether or not Jimbo Fisher is coming. There's no question he's the top target.
I don't think LSU's hire is going to be a long drawn out process. I gotta think they're talking with agents as I type this and figuring out their move if/when Miles is fired.
....and now we wait.
