Will make him one of the highest paid coaches in the country and announced before Rose Bowl. Actually is a good thing as the new coach next year can point at Jimbo and McIlwain's salaries and demand that UM actually is competitive.

lol....yeah right. all this does is put us further behind the eight ball. you haven't heard? blake james is still our ad and our admin is still more interested in saving $10m while losing out on top recruits and the possible lost of donors and die hard fans, then fixing the situation by throwing money at it like most competitive, competent admins do.

new president changes everything
 
The more expensive good coaches are, the more likely an AD is to stick with the cheap coach already under contract.
 
Coach gets millions, school generates millions, player gets an average education and basically only takes up excess classroom capacity. 90%+ will never sniff an NFL contract and will have medical issues later in life.

Will they freaking just start paying these players something? It's not like there is an option to go to the minor leagues like in baseball.

Amazing they brought Jimbo in at around the same salary as Golden, and his winning has brought increased revenues and salary bumps.

Amazing how that works.

But we can't compete!

There are benefits to selling your soul to Satan. Fisher could care less about ethics or morals and as long as he wins, even though the rest of the country laughs at FSU, that administration in TallyHo supports and rewards him.
 
Golden will not be gone till we have a new President and then maybe both Al & Blkake are gone....
new president needs to provide leadership in following areas total packages for HC and assistants
commitment to constant investing in facilities S&C, training table with support staff,funding for indoor facility
and las but not least a long term plan for a stadium 40-50k near campus.
given Donna's reign of error leasing Joe Robbie and abandoning the OB was worst decision.
 
Apparently going to be making over $5 million a year. Which I believe would mean he'll be making more than our entire staff put together. More or less.

We are getting laughed at as well. I would rather get laughed at while winning then losing. But that is just me.
 
When we were good, we were hated but not ridiculed. FSU is hated and also ridiculed like no other team ever has been. I would never want to win the way they have.
