This type of stuff happens all the time in a football games. DL will sometime mimic the QBs snap count, as well (which is illegal too..... if you get caught, lol). The only illegal clapping going on Saturday night was his wife's cheeks getting clapped, by somebody NOT named Jimbo. Cheating? C'mon now....

There was a play at the goaline on their second drive where James Williams clapped. It looked more like he was trying to get the CBs attention. If i remember correctly, the QB seemed unprepared to receive the snap on that play and it resulted in an incompletion. Im not sure if that's the play he was reffering to

The play clock was almost at zero and they had to get it off or get a penalty. Wouldn't have mattered anyway

Also they were under center during that play. If their OL jumped from a clap when they are going off a cadence, then that's on them (but James was clapping to alert the CB)

I saw that too on my re-watch, that is the 2pt conversion, but I agree, it appeard Williams was trying to get the CB's attention

It's a penalty. It's technically a "delay of game" penalty on the defense and five yards but not an automatic 1st down. The defender is trying to get the offense to false start by mimicking the quarterback. It happens in football quite a bit but doesn't always get called.

F you watch the play James is looking at Jaden trying to get his attention and claps a few times pretty quick to get his attention and the ball was snapped and James wasn't even ready or paying attention he wasn't trying to simulate anything just a weird series of events. Not sure why hes point to one play. Wasn't complaining about a td that should have been yanked because their oline was making contact with the dline before the ball was snapped. Typical Jimbo though complain and point fingers instead of owning the loss

That's football. It happens and yes, it's illegal. It isn't right, but unfortunately for them, it wasn't called. He knows that and sometimes players get away with stuff.

It doesn't matter either way. Whether it was heard, not heard, called, or not called. That's what the center claims and you'd be surprised what you can hear down there at times.
