Jimbo is a dumb ***. How is this different from a screen pass. Forget the fact that the lineman are not getting out infront of the WR and it's the same thing. It's. It like they are launching the ball 12 yards downfield. It's a swing pass, at times a lateral. Which is a glorified hand off. Dumb ***

No.
I'm pretty sure he's talking RPO's where the ball is thrown down-field.
Linebackers (and sometimes Safeties) are taught to read Offensive Lineman. If the O-linemen pass-set then they get to their zone drops. If they run block then they come up to defend the run. The problem lies within the fact that O-linemen are showing run when in actuality it's a pass. O-linemen are running 3+ yards up-field, giving Linebackers false run reads.
A screen pass is throw BEHIND the line-of-scrimmage. The O-linemen are just letting the D-linemen go so that they can get up-field and block for the RB or WR. Totally different than what Jimbo's referring to.

Come on now Coach Macho... You mean to tell me this should be a penalty on the offense just b/c the linebackers got fooled by the PA pass...

The issue isn't the PA pass dude. The issue is that the O-linemen RUN BLOCK during RPO's. (Linebackers get their run/pass reads from O-linemen)

I'm not even a XO Guru but I can see where it's a problem.
That's why I love this place.
We include everyone. Even the idiots.
