Jeez, couldn't he have at least said something constructive like, "I've submitted my resignation to the Board of Trustees and have strongly recommended that former Head Coach Butch Davis be my successor."
 
Lol at cyber bullying. He's such a pansy.

No one has or should attack his family. But he's fair game for criticism. I've yet to see anything online that has been over the top, well except for the guy that posted his address. That admittedly was unnecessary. As long as you leave his wife and kids out and don't harass the guy then I don't see a problem.
 
I posted this last season that I can't believe that his wife and family are too happy with Golden getting bashed like this and that may be his only escape out. He finally said it's affecting his wife and children, in so many words. He looks beat, and he looked beat last year. I specifically addressed the slurpers last season that when Golden didn't get the PSU gig, it literally took the life out of him. Again, Golden does not, I repeat DOES NOT want to be here...I don't get the infactuation w/ some of these posters. I expect to go 6-7 again after starting off 3-0 this season. Not being negative, just being realistic.
 
Golden does not want to be here anymore and everyone knows it. He literally hates his job. However, he can't walk away from 3 mil per year.

This team will fold like a set of *** drenched Martha Stewart linens at the first sign of adversity.

It is going to get very ugly folks. Golden still cannot believe he was not fired last year after he told Blake to f**k off when asked to fire Doritos.

I'm kind of glad he was not fired because he would have received a much larger buyout to do nothing. That fat slob deserves to suffer for what he has done to this program. It was over for him once he tried to bail for the Penn St job.

Golden will not make it through the year. The pressure will become to great and he will be fired in October.

He will land on a network and do very well in TV. Will never coach college football again.
 
i can appreciate him facing the music, what irks me is when he dismisses it. This was as real as Goldens gotten

I wish we are all wrong and Al smears our face in it by running the table this year and making the playoffs. He had his chance last year. After beating the crap out of the reigning champs and Heisman winner in the first half of aggressive kick *** football, he stood on the shore of his Rubicon. At halftime, instead of diving in and making for the other shore like Caesar, he hid behind the bushes and backed away from greatness.

Staying at Miami with an huge extended contract was not a courageous thing to do, it was a good business decision. Al's chance to be a hero was on that field that night. That was his moment to become a frigging Cane and leave psu forever behind. Instead he chose to comfort of a warm shower instead of the stark cold waters of the river of destiny.

Option has always been the system you use when you have inferior talent. The NFL is already backing away from it for the same reasons they did not adopt its earlier versions. Miami destroyed it in college football before and the only reason it is back is because we are in the hands of fools. If Butch comes back, aggressive speed will return alone with the playbook to beat the option, read or otherwise, to death. Remember Ray's reaction to the 49ers read option in the Super Bowl?

Thought golden didn't listen to outside noise. The pressure is getting to him and watch this team implode and turn on him because these will be tired of his bs crap
