It's tough to say that, because Smith and Toney are doing it in major conferences. The Pac 12 is the Mountain West, with even worse defenses. I believe this young man is the truth, but someone is going to end up disappointed if they think he will put up these kind of numbers at the P4 level(outside of the Big XII). He will be a difference maker in P4, but he's a cheat code at the midmajor level.

Plus he is with a WR coach as HC who is feeding him and comes from Deboar take shots DEEEEP offense tree.. They basically empty the bag on terrible pass Defenses.. But they have GREAT concepts to take shots also, grass wont be greener AND OSU will find money to get him right..

Pretty sure it is going to be a package deal with all three (HC, QB, WR).

Maryland might just be the spot. Legree is from Baltimore, and the QB is from NC.

Rather have Wake’s OC Rob Ezell

Former Bama player who was best known for impersonation of Saban. He was a GA when Mario was the OL coach.

He was OC at South Alabama under Major Applewhite. Applewhite was almost hired as OC when Dawson got the job (he recommended by Saban). This year Ezell jumped to Wake where he has been killing it.

Can he afford it after all his child supports payments?!?! I see a baby mama taking him back to court if he pays another kid more money........LOL
 
Sweet for him and that school. Only way he breaks that promise is if Shepherd gets a HC gig elsewhere.

Seems like Jamarcus Shepherd isn’t on ADs’ radars yet so he a second year there is really cool for that program. I doubt they will remain there for more than two-three years. Hopefully they stay until 2028 so Oregon State can beat Oregon on the Beavers’ home-field.

This definitely isn’t over yet as we can use Elijah Drinkowitz as an example of a HC who got his p4 job after one strong season (12-1 @ App State).
 
How times have changed since I was younger. And I'm not even old. People announcing mid season they are returning to school...
