I don't think anyone ever said that
There is now a thread where the OP of that thread is apologizing for questioning Jo Jacks production
I don't think anyone ever said that
Hard to interpret as kuligowski did coach these guys. If you take willis or jackson for instance they’ve been coached more by kuligowski than simpson. Hopefully we see no downtrend as new guys who are all simpson come in
As far as diagnosing and tackle angles? That’s a long time to wait on good play lol. Are you down on the 3 mentioned or is Smith that much better? The guy who will fill that role the best eventually is keontra smith
I like what Simpson is doing. I saw a lot of technique.
I just Think smith fills that role better. He’s like a mini Jaquan right now in highschool but is a better athlete overallAs far as diagnosing and tackle angles? That’s a long time to wait on good play lol. Are you down on the 3 mentioned or is Smith that much better?
Exactly. The run game getting off had nothing to do with dline. It was entirely a mixture of back 7 not maintaining gap integrity & getting caught on these predictable blitz packages sometimes that lanes are shown too early.Run defense was off tonight especially early on in the first half but yeah he’s been solid. The run defense wasn’t even on the dline, the back 7 wasn’t discipline enough in defending the run early on and taking many false steps
which hs coach said he wasnt doing a great job or some **** on here? smh.
Even garvin who I expected To be a dominant pass rusher has taken the next step in that area yet. Imo it will come once they get more experience. But overall I’m pleased with the results we have on the dline so farMust be referring to me. And I didn't say he wasn't doing a good job.
I said he's a good coach but it doesn't look like he's a pass rush technician. (which is evident by our DE's lack of pass rush moves)
I've been to multiple practices and haven't seen him utilize any innovative/creative/legit pass rush drills. Appears to me that he puts more emphasis on run technique. (or that's the focus Diaz wants with his DL this year)
Not that there's anything wrong with that, cause stopping the run is important, but our DE's are not good at rushing the passer.
Never doubted the coaching takes someone special to eff that up with the talent we have ... now we have to see the recruiting side of it.So we are all on board with the Jess hire? Richt looks good on this hire.
