Did anybody catch KJ Osborn having to switch jersey mid game to play special teams! We gotta stop sharing numbers it’s ridiculous!
Was there someone else on the field with the same number? That was the first thing I looked for. You can't have two players with the same number on the field at the same time.Did anybody catch KJ Osborn having to switch jersey mid game to play special teams! As am I. I remember when FSU missed Wide Right I and there was a #15 standing right by Bowden, while #15 was missing the kick. Not sure why, but that always stuck in my head.I am opposed to shared numbers.
Back in the day, there were often over 100 players on a college football team though. Scholarships weren't capped at 85. I believe in 1991 they were allowed 95 scholarship players. Add the walk-ons and you've got more players than numbers. Usually walk-ons were given duplicate numbers since they most likely weren't going to play.As am I. Actually don't know if it's a "bigger" jersey but it's specifically made for these situations. The way you take them off are much easier than the regular jerseys.
Yeah I saw the way they just detached it from the sides and then simply took it right off with all his gear still on. I really can't believe someone is crying about a number change for 1 play. You are right... It is essentially a poncho with velcro down both sides. Like tearaway basketball pants but instead of buttons, velcro, and instead of pants a shirt lol certain numbers are in high demand, it def has zero impact on anything.

No reason to be so upset. Single digit numbers have always been in demand. Jessie Armstead wore #1, Rohan Marley wore #2. You request a number, if an upper classman already has that number you have to wait for him to leave. Frank Gore had to wait for Jason Geathers to graduate before he could change his number from 32 to 3.It starts in youth league where single digit numbers are cool so all the SoFla Diva's want them. Why does Nesta have to wear # 1 rather than a good ol fashioned 98 (Brown). 96 (Kennedy), 67 (Maryland), and so on. Was this a So Fla cool demand to sign? Those guys did something without the COOL dude number. I would like to see those numbers EARNED rather than given based upon what Rivals idiots say. 98, 96 and 67 dominated big games. Nesta has more Personal Fouls than he does sacks while at UM. I truly hope Nesta produces first then acts like a Senior All Ameican Jerome Brown. At this point the infamous Robert Knowles has had far more productive plays at UM. Would love to see Manny change Nesta's number to something boring and give him, a written list of what it will take to get #1 back.
Lmao that was my first thought as well. When I first saw him put it on I thought WTF, now we have a touchdown jersey??
My mind wanders from time to time I guess...
