As we all know, Miami fans wanted badly to keep Jeremiah Smith home. That never happened, and Smith has already spent two seasons at Ohio State.

But during today’s College Football Playoff Cotton Bowl press conferences, Smith admitted something that will grab the attention of Hurricanes fans.

Smith said that if Miami was where it is right now back when he signed with Ohio State, he believes he would’ve ended up at Miami.

Smith was asked, “If Miami had won more or played in games like this during your high school career, would you be a Hurricane right now?”

Here’s exactly what he said:

“Most likely, yeah, I’d have probably ended up at Miami if things were on the right track then. But I chose to stick with Ohio State.”

Now, Smith will get the chance to play against his home state when Ohio State faces Miami on December 31st in the College Football Playoff Cotton Bowl.

He's got one more year where he can join the good guys.

I’m so sick of this storyline. Respectfully, I don’t give a **** about what J4 almost did 3 years ago. It’s history….time to move on.

Let’s go win this game with the guys that bought into Mario’s vision. The focus should be on this team exclusively. Time to shock the world.
Same like fk that guy man. These mofos leave and still want VIP treatment from the hometown. Im not gonna disagree if someone gets him to return but i dont care either way. We coulda had a all timer last season if he came in as that #1 flank WR. He chose elsewhere and now he the opp. I want someone to lay his *** out across the middle.
