Jeff Thomas

The discussion came up the in live about Jeff Thomas .
Personally he’s one of all time favorite recent canes of all time along with Jaquan and Pinckney

I would say he’s was most talented WR in the last 10+ years
My arguement for this

He was our Best Punt Return in the last 10 years
He was the best Deep Ball Receiver in that span
Despite his height he was probably best 50/50 ball receiver in 10 years
Alll while having Nkosi Perry and Jarren Williams as his QB ,the worst QBs of the last 10 years
On top of the Ron Dugans has turned out to be the worse WR coach we every hired .

He was awesome to watch

I don't get what makes people think so poorly of dugans in his time here. Do I think he was great or even above average, not really I suppose. I could make the argument for above average. Won't get into his room being sabotaged by another staff member but injuries and oc decisions were his biggest issues. He brought in some talent. Only one of which possibly two played at a good level and one was on trajectory to be a first rounder in ahmmon. Worst wr coach we ever had and it's not even a dispute was stumble****.

Regardless of what happened in the season, JT4 got a combine invite and showed up unprepared out of shape and slow.
That had absolutely nothing to do with an oline or coaching decisions, or whatever drama or incompetence was going on.
Plenty of draft picks have played in bad situations and shtty teams. Let’s stop making excuses for him and let’s keep young men accountable for their decisions. At what age and at what point does it stop being everyone else’s fault and not the man in the mirror?
I’m not making excuses for Jeff. People are solely blaming him for the Florida game when there were other reasons Miami lost. I have acknowledged his faults during his time here.

Nothing personified a Manny Diaz team or a Manny Diaz organizational build like Jeff Thomas.

I will say, however, thank you for Jalar Holley:

He’s not the not the only person in cfb or profesional sports to have gone through tough times.
Do you know where and how Michael Irvin grew up? What about Antonio brown? Dude was homeless in high school and went through a whole bunch of sht squatting in empty houses.
What about Demaryius Thomas? Both his mom and grandma arrested on drug charges when he was 11. His grandma got mandatory life and his mom got 20. They never saw him play live until they got their sentences commuted and he was in the nfl.
Stories like Jeff Thomas are very common.
What about James Williams? His Mom got shot ten times by his father while he watched.

Dude was given a chance that very few get and he wasted it.
He was surrounded by role models and people that made it with similar circumstances. Let’s not act like his situation was unique. Sad, very sad unfortunately, but not unique.
LeBron James life story was no picnic either. How about what happened to Warrick Dunn’s mother? Two upstanding men in sports regardless of hard times, daddy.

TrumpyCane thinks you didn't like Zion Nelson giving up 5893 sacks on his own that game

Losing Ahmmon and Malek Young to neck injuries was a rough time. 2 kids that the sky was the limit for

i hate to say that i have a "favorite" Noles because i deplore the program, but i have always admired Warrick Dunn even before his charity work. he carried himself with respect and humility. he has changed the lives of hundreds of people. need more warrick dunns in the world
