Scoring 40 a game sounds great, but also have concerns how faster pace, more dynamic offense potentially impacts our defense. Don’t want to end up in shootouts like ‘24, though better coordinator & talent on defense. Would assume methodical pace on offense, bleeding the clock & fewer plays benefited our defense this season.

Needs to be a balanced… I only want the 40 if it comes with winning time of possession!

The offense with Cam was lovey but we would score to quick at times as crazy as that sounds !

The offense with Beck we would not score enough but we sure did eat up a ton of clock !


Now this year ….. if we can score TD’s while maintaining TOS, we would be a scary well balanced team!!

This is an illusion we have because our defense was terrible and our offense would score **** near every time in 2024… We’re not even a up tempo team, we still huddle alot.

2023(tvd): 31:05.60(45th)top - 28.2 ppg(37th) - 27.9 dppg(49th)

2024(cam): 32:37.90(11th)top - 40.3 ppg(3rd) - 30.5 dppg(72nd)

2025(beck): 33:09.85(12th) top - 28.8 ppg(28th) - 15.2 dppg(8th)

If our defense is good we will get stops, its that simple. This offense won’t have an effect on that

I usually think that CIS is harder on some of the national reporters than we need to be....Not JD Pickell though.

He's a discount Josh Pate who regurgitates stale talking points.

If we score 40+ a game, the D can pin their ears back and take some chances, knowing we are playing with a 20+ point lead. More chaos by our D if we are scoring that much. We are also deeper on D next year than this year. We will be fine.

Nobody got time for shoot outs. We need to and will dominate . Every day that passess UM gets better. Standard has clearly risen. We did shoot outs with cam , we been in backyard alley fights with beck, now it's time for Mensah and crew to dominate with a crazy loaded team.

UM must not play with food or we will choke . keep that foot on gas pedal no brakes so the young lions can earn their keep. Do not settle and think 40 points is our championship. Stay hungry for the natty and not the preseason hype.

Dominate all 4 quarters and all 3 phases of the game.
