Fwiw, Just from some initial twitter glancing, majority of AU fans seem to be glad, said he was underwhelming and their OL wasn't where it needed to be. Says he stepped down to "pursue other opportunities". Not sure if that means he won't be coaching football or if he left for another job? Definitely makes you think about him and UM though. I guess we will see.

If hes interested, he'll probably want to bring his son in tho, who is also an OC. But dont fret, hes actually serviceable.

I like the fact he's recruited with and against the big boys. Also, he's had a respectable amount of lineman receive honors and be drafted. Seems like a solid addition if we get him.

Auburn fans ***** about their OL recruiting and production as much or more than we do, but they are still heads and heels over where we are.

To answer your question, no. No one can be worse BUT we said the exact same thing about Searles. Atleast Searles recruited, sometimes lol. And being better than Barry shouldn't be the litmus test. How about we just fire Barry first though. WTF is the hold up here?

Thinking that Grimes would be night and day better than Barry. Probably knows the type of offense Lashlee wants to run, and what type of OL players and play we will need here to make it an accomplished offense rather than 3 and out consistently. I don’t know much about Grimes other than he’s had OL drafted to the league. They seemed to play as a connected unit the few games I watched of Auburn this past season.

Look. You want Herb and some hated him more than JB, so take what the fans want with a grain of salt
