If I recall, Manny checked him out at a Deerfield practice or pre-season game last year, but did not give him a committable offer (which was strange given that Pierre slid). I think people on the board that he was too slow or stiff. Not sure but I thought he had warmed up to Miami after being originally salty during the summer and throwing shade at Paradise camp.
