The head corch of the Washington Redskins must've studied Al Golden's handbook of bizarre excuses for ineptitude.

He's a potato too. If his last name wasn't Gruden, he wouldn't have a job. Washington sucks under him...just like Miami sucks under Golden. Annnnnnnnd they're both fat

That's not as bad. I also pull Pistons and Braves. I don't have a single team doing well and haven't for awhile.

Can't stand Gruden as a coach. By no means do I think RGIII is right now what he was in year 1, but its a shame to watch Gruden make it a personal thing. Gruden will do anything in his power to keep RGIII off the field including blaming the wind. Regardless of what RGIII is or will ever be, it's sickening to watch how Gruden is handling things. He's just like Al.

RG3 is a one trick pony. He sucks. And he is brittle. And arrogant.

The problem with that team is the meddling owner.

you're right on all of this...he's also still a better QB than kirk cousins

Just take a look at RG3 contract and you'll know why he isn't playing. Basically if he gets injured, he's gauranteed something like 16 million next season. If he completes this year completely healthy, none of it is gauranteed. At this point, I think you can be pretty sure that he is not a franchise quarterback, so why risk him getting hurt and having to pay him 16 million next season, when you could just not play him and then not have to pay him at all next year.

Regardless, Gruden sucks and Golden sucks more.

This is the guy his brother wanted to replace him as HC at Miami as part of the deal to come here.

Rg3 is not playing because he's not very good. Plus he gets injured easily and he's a bad lock room presence

Problem is neither is kirk cousins and cousins hasn't shown anything that justifies not giving rg3 another shot. At the very least rg3 showed he has the potential to be really good regardless if he ever shows it again or not.

That's one argument. But you have to remember that rg3 was once very good in a read option offense that he refuses to run now. He has had a very hard time adapting to a non-read option offense and Gruden came in here and quickly saw that rg3 couldn't run his offense. As mediocre as cousins has been, I think he has been better than rg3 last year.

I don't disagree, but why not give it one more shot and put it to bed. It's not like it's going to cost them wins that they already weren't getting. In reality is already over though. That relationship there is toxic and needs to end.

Agree on the toxicity. My guess is that there's a whole bunch of underlying reasons including politics, money, etc.
