Javian Mallory is not hurt

Ty was faster and quicker than people remember. I was watching some of his HS tape and some clips in college. I am talking about thin Ty before he gained 20 lbs of fat. Freshman Ty probably was quicker lateral moves actually.

Im the one that comped him to tyrone moss.

Tyrone moss is 9verly seen as the best rb in broward county history (rip)

When i comped him to Moss it wasnt a dig. Moss was seen as one of them ones and both he and Mallory are from the same areA.

Ty had some of the quickest feet and vision just like this kid does and always kind of fell forward.

I guess folks are looking at post injury ty

Healthy trim Tyrone Moss was for real. No one should fail to recognize that.

But Mallory doesn’t remind me of him. Different style, vision, lean, and moves. Gore is the comp.

nothing like Gore. Mallory is way bigger, way more of a power RB. not to mention it's irresponsible. He will never live up to it. Fans should never compare anyone to a HOF. He had a good game against a terrible run D. Folks need to slow they roll here.

Not Frank Gore. It's absurd. Mallory is an excellent power RB, glad to have him. Gore had a natural elusiveness that nobody had. Even after the 2nd ACL 8 months in recovery and 20 lbs overweight Gore had a way of making guys miss. Nobody that has ever played the RB position had it.

Agreed. He showed out in this high intensity game. Vision, contact balance, surprising suddenness, and violence. That was an impressive performance. Very excited about what we saw last night.

I wasn’t sure he had the speed or would end up a really good bruising back, but he showed plenty of speed outrunning/quickness against some defenders who were in pretty good spots. The toss TD comes to mind. FSU ended up with a guy unblocked coming down at him and he was able to just outrun him. He made a lot of guys miss in a phone booth as well. Not elite elite but above average at least.

You drafted a RB in Madden with B+ ability in every category. Pretty cool to learn he started on the OL (I believe I heard they during the game).

Much more realistic comp is Damien Martinez. Similar size, Mallory a little wider and Martinez more cut up. Very powerful dudes with some good lateral movement to make defenders miss.

Lmao everyone is RB1 when they start playing well. Last year we had like 4 guys people were calling RB1 and now half are nowhere to be found. Y’all were calling Pringle the return of forever last season! Let Malory get a few more games under his belt before you guys crown him. He is like that though, but I’m still trying to figure out wtf happened to Pringle da Gawd! Lol
I have nothing to back this up. But Pringle, made his living sort of doing the opposite of what Fletcher was doing last year. He'd bounce it outside. Really quick to the hole. No patience like Mark but theyre different. Theyre differences made them both shine.

It looks like he is trying to emulate Fletcher and listen to the coaches. The play is here. Run here. Trust the blocking. Before he trusted his instincts. Thats not always good but it was. Hes fully bought into the program and the play calls now. Thats a great thing . . . At times. The calls outside of Mali are never designed for one back in particular.

He gave the defense a different look that they didnt expect before. That short area quickness and agility with the variance in what he saw created different lanes. Our interior guard play hasn't been great and you couple that with him running more like Mark with different strengths than him has given us results that didnt match his from last year.

Their are reasons why you have change up backs. Either his runs need to have different designs countering Mark's or just let his vision and short area quickness dictate where he runs vs whats called. I trust these coaches. I love this team. I could be way wrong or I could be right.

But Lyle ran differently Sat night. Less patience, more urgency and quickness and we got better results from him. Mark and Pringle are just so different. We need to exploit the difference not minimize it
