Javian Mallory is not hurt

Frank Gore traits.

Feet move fast, hips are loose, shoulders stay square to the line of scrimmage.

Lyle ran hard as **** tonight. 9 for 42. Higher YPC than Fletch. We’re lucky to have so many good players back there.

But yeah, Mallory looks like an animal. Really, really excited for his future. I’ll do some breakdowns on his runs this week but for me it’s not the physical skills, which are obvious. It’s the vision and feel. He sees the game exceptionally well for an 18 year old. He made some runs tonight in areas where the play was not designed and that’s the barometer for a great back. Anyone can get what’s blocked. He got a LOT that was not blocked tonight.
if we’re being real, this was Lyle’s best game of his career considering the circumstances

Shut my *** up

Helluva performance by #2
Lyle stepped up! and he flashed some burst. im excited about him and i hope we can find a way to keep him involved

as I've said we want Lyle taking the hard yards up the middle. that is what he was doing yesterday. the big run will come if he keeps that up. we are 77th in explosive runs and I will keep saying we need to get Pringle/Lyle involved more. the plodding power run game means we have to execute all the way down the field. long runs equal tuddies.

Also, the staff knows what they’re doing with playing time. Fletcher bludgeons defenses early and then Mallory breaks off big second half runs against beat up defenders. It’s a formula for success going back decades.

This kid was impressive last night.

I can say someone is good without saying someone else is bad. Fletcher was obviously one-handed last night.
Lmao everyone is RB1 when they start playing well. Last year we had like 4 guys people were calling RB1 and now half are nowhere to be found. Y’all were calling Pringle the return of forever last season! Let Malory get a few more games under his belt before you guys crown him. He is like that though, but I’m still trying to figure out wtf happened to Pringle da Gawd! Lol
Guys guys guys you don’t have to always **** on Fletcher to congratulate another guy.

It’s ok to just praise Mallory without putting down what #4 has done for this team.

Also Fletch has looked great at times. He is making ppl miss way more this year than ever in his career. This OL stinks and doesn’t fit his running style. He is more like Derrick Henry who needs a couple yards to get going and isn’t a shake and bake back.

This OL is awful and create zero lanes. Dawson needs to call more off tackle runs it’s been great every time he calls it. A gap doesn’t work with this interior OL

Thanks

Mallory is why I say speed matters as a back but there’s far more important things to the position. Vision , balance , forward lean and finishing runs is far more important. He sees things that most backs can’t. Then he hits hole hard *** **** with violence on his mind. Then always falls forward.
A few runs I thought he was patient and letting the running lanes open for himself

I wasn’t a believer when we signed him. I am now. I trust him and he bailed us out a few times last night. Always loved the urgency he plays with but his feet, vision, and violence he plays with are all top notch too. I thought all the backs played well last night, but he was clearly the star of the show.

@No_Fly_Zone

Sounds a lot like a postgame parking lot conversation.

I fell in love with him at the spring game and he’s been everything I hoped . I know the Frank similarities, but there’s some Cleveland Gary sprinkled in there as well . The kid has fantastic feet and vision .
